“Never Say Never” a whopping 4 Purple Pens. I found it intriguing and well worth the read, this book would be great in anyone’s collection and therefore is being added to Da Vinci’s Book Bag.
Never Say Never, a novel by Julia Thomas, is a culmination of the many trials and tribulations we all face as women. The book tells the stories of four women who are childhood friends, share a sisterhood, and serve as mentors in each other’s lives. They all deal with the multi facets of love, the price that comes with success, and many blessings that come in disguises. Monique, LaNae, Celeste, and Amanda all experience living life in different ways and can offer each other the advice that they cannot take for themselves. The book is very well written, the characters are well rounded people that I’m sure any reader can relate to, and the title is something we all can understand and learn from.
Weaknesses- Slow start, narration through the whole novel
